Here's what I'm drinking today.
It's called Tea a la Marrakech and it's a green tea blend from a fantastic tea shop in Newburyport, Massachusetts called Licorice & Sloe. This is truly one of my favorite tea shops. It has a really cozy feel, nice and knowledgeable staff, and a phenomenal selection of teas. Their menu is posted on a chalkboard that covers almost an entire wall. The menu is divided by tea type and runs the gamut from common to rare. They even had a yellow tea the last time I was there - I regret not buying it when I had the chance. They have great sandwiches too. My husband and I have gone in twice now with our kids and they've been really family friendly. (They even have a "kid's tea" on the menu.)
Anyway, back to the tea. This tea is a green tea with mint. Really fantastic mint flavor. I originally tried it iced which I would highly recommend. Today I drank it hot and it was just as good. The leaves look rolled almost like a gunpowder tea. (I am not an expert on how to describe the tea styles or flavors so please don't look for that. I'll just talk about how I see it as an amateur tea lover.)
I'd love to hear other comments on this tea shop or on this tea in particular if you've tried it!
